Accessibility Statement
Last updated: March 2026
Bergh Special Products B.V. is committed to ensuring that https://bspshop.com is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. As a manufacturer of wheelchair accessories, accessibility is a core part of our values, and we strive to make our online presence as inclusive as our products.
This statement applies to https://bspshop.com.
1. Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the international standard for web accessibility, and to comply with the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA / Directive (EU) 2019/882) as implemented in Dutch law (Implementatiewet toegankelijkheidsvoorschriften producten en diensten).
Current conformance level: Partially compliant.
This means that some content does not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are actively working to identify and resolve any gaps. Where full conformance is not yet achieved, we have outlined known issues and our planned improvements in Section 4.
2. Accessibility Features
Our website provides accessibility features at two levels: built-in features that are always active, and an optional customization tool that allows visitors to tailor the website to their individual needs.
2.1 Built-in features (always active)
These features are part of the website's underlying code and work for all visitors:

3. Assessment Methodology
The accessibility of https://bspshop.com is evaluated using a combination of:
- Automated testing — using tools such as Lighthouse, axe DevTools, and WAVE
- Manual testing — keyboard-only navigation, screen reader testing, color contrast checks
- User feedback — input from customers and accessibility consultants
The most recent internal review was conducted in March 2026. We aim to perform formal accessibility reviews at least once per year, and after any significant redesign of the website.
4. Known Limitations and Planned Improvements
Despite our efforts, the following areas may not yet be fully accessible. We are working to address them in upcoming updates:
- some product customization tools (e.g. design configurators for spoke guards and trays) may have limited keyboard or screen reader support due to their visual and interactive nature; alternative ordering options are available — see Section 6
- some third-party widgets (e.g. cookie consent banner, reviews widget) may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control; we are working with our providers to improve them
- older PDF documents (e.g. legacy product datasheets) may not be fully accessible; we are progressively replacing them with accessible HTML or tagged PDF versions
- some product images may lack detailed alternative text descriptions; we are reviewing and updating image alt-text site-wide
If you encounter accessibility issues not listed here, please report them to us — see Section 6.
5. Compatible Browsers and Devices
The website is designed to work with the latest two stable versions of:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Apple Safari
- Microsoft Edge
It is tested on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
The website may not function as intended on Internet Explorer or browsers older than five years, due to outdated accessibility and security standards.
